On September 15, 2022, Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an unstable male threatening suicide and suicide by cop, on Highway 74 north of Covington.
Upon arrival a confrontation between the subject and officers lead to officers discharging their firearms multiple times, striking the subject.
According to scanner audio, Officers began CPR until LIFE EMS arrived. EMS declared the subject deceased.
